It never rains in California....

It surely did rain today though! Buckets and buckets of the wet stuff pouring down from a steel grey sky. And you know what happens when it rains in California? People go beserk! I mean it! They weave from lane to lane, and ride their brakes without actually slowing down on the slippery oily roads! They stop in the middle of the road and look up through half rolled-down windshields, like turkeys waiting to drown in a teaspoon of water. It's enough to make a girl want to pull out her shootin iron and plug their cars! I said ALMOST_ I wouldn't really do it...Besides most of the time they wreck their cars and do more damage to themselves than I could ever do! So let it rain! Let it Pour! I'll stay indoors and bake cookies!

HMMMM that explains the upswing in accidents in Portland, with the amount of people that moved here from California over the lasy 5 years. Its Portland people it rains from November 1 to Mid May at least.

Always ready to share some of the wet stuff with ya, California!! And that's so funny, because that's what we Oregonians do when it snows!! I will definitely take my camera with me if we get snow this year!!

We got 3 inches here at the house!I didn't make cookies but I got in some quiltin'!
Yes to the drivers...whazz up with that? My oldest says in the Bay area it is like a dance on the freeway when it rains...cars slide this way and that way, they spin and twirl...at the average of three hours or so to write an accident report?? And to think it's almost as bad when it DOESN'T rain...I don't even want to think what would happen with SNOW!!!!

I love how it stops long enough for you to think you want to do somthing, then when your half way there.... say oh I don't know... going to soak your lame horses foot. It starts pouring again.

Rain? Really? We have not had any of that great wet stuff in what seems like FOREVER...

I love the rain, except when I have to drive in it. The only accident I have EVER been in was in the rain...PULLING a horse trailer...gah! To this day it scares me.

Hey sweetie...I am NOT a Sweet Potato Queen and you are the second person that has asked me that...what's up with that? Please tell me more...I have the book!

Hugs! Stay dry!

You are sooo right. They act like that here too, especially on the interstate. I just try to stay out of their way.
